- Upon arrival at the Volusia County Tax Collector office, the applicant will complete the concealed weapon license application at a computer station. The application will be reviewed before it is sent to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The applicant also will be photographed and electronically fingerprinted. This process should take less than 30 minutes. Prescreening in our office decreases the likelihood of the application being delayed due to errors or omissions.
- Applicants must demonstrate competency with a firearm to qualify for a license by providing a copy of a training document or other certificate that confirms you are proficient with a firearm.
