If your insurance company notifies the state that you cancelled or removed a vehicle from a policy, and your vehicle has a valid Florida registration and no other active Florida policy is reported by another insurance company, the department sends a letter notifying you to provide the required insurance coverage information.
You may also receive a letter from FLHSMV to verify your insurance because of a crash or receiving a citation for driving without proof of insurance.
