Dealers only: Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to go to the South Daytona dealers-only office to get my work completed?

No. Dealers may drop off/pick up transactions at any Volusia County Tax Collector office. Please keep in mind that all dealer transactions are completed in the South Daytona dealers-only office. A member of the Volusia County Tax Collector team will deliver your work to/from the dealers-only office. Therefore transit time will need to be added to work dropped or picked up at any location other than the dealers-only office.

If I drop work at one location, may I pick it up at another location?

Yes. You may drop or pick up your work at different locations. Please ensure the pick-up location is clearly stated in the paperwork you submit in your bag.

May I wait in the office for my work to be completed the same day?

Walk-through service is available in the South Daytona dealers-only office. Work is completed first come, first served. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. No title transactions are accepted after 4 p.m. The busiest times in the dealers-only office are between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on Mondays and the days following a holiday weekend.

How long will it take for my work to be processed?

In most cases, it can take three days to process the work. However, work that is dropped or picked up at a location other than our dealers-only office in South Daytona will take longer since it has to be delivered to/from the drop location to the dealers-only office in South Daytona. If you need completed transactions by a specific date, we strongly suggest you walk your work through our South Daytona dealers-only office.

May I call the office to see if my work is ready?

Once your work has been processed, you will be contacted to let you know it is ready for pick up. Please make sure your bag has your contact information so that we can reach you.

What do I need to do to be able to use the EFS system?

I picked up my work, but it was not completed because of ‘errors.’ Who can help me with this?
