The Office of Will Roberts – Tax Collector is changing the way Volusia residents experience government services. Our team is prepared to assist online, over the phone or in person for questions about property taxes, motorist services, driver licenses, vehicle and vessel registrations and more.
In 2020, Volusia County voters elected a tax collector for the first time in 50 years. Since taking office on January 5, 2021, Tax Collector Will Roberts has focused on his mission to improve customer service by making it easier to access the services needed from the tax collector’s office. Our mission and core values continually guide us toward improve the customer experience.
As mandated by State statute, the Volusia County Tax Collector assumed operations of the county's two driver license offices from the State in late 2021 - early 2022. The Office is now focused on creating more one-stop shops where customers can receive driver license and tag & title services in the same location. In early 2022, the Office began offering the processing of concealed weapon license applications, which is the first time this service has been offered in the county. Establishing an office in Deltona is also planned. An updated list of services offered by location can be found on our appointment page.
