Print an electronic title
Title services are offered in all tax collector branches
in Volusia County before 4 p.m.. Appointments are encouraged but not
required.
Electronic titles may be requested online and picked up in any
branch. Title services also are available by mail.
New to Florida
To title and register your vehicle in Florida, these documents are needed:

Original out-of-state title

If you still have an outstanding lien, please visit one of our branches to start the process for your
lienholder to mail your title to our office.

Verification of the vehicle identification number by one of the following:

Bring your vehicle to our office

Completed HSMV 82042 (review form for who is authorized to
verify)

Proof of Florida insurance (Insurance card, insurance policy, or insurance binder)

Additionally all owners must be present and have state-issued identification.

Returned check service fees
Should a check for payment be returned to our office, by your bank, as unpaid, Florida Statute 68.065
authorizes the Tax Collector to assess a service charge as follows:
- Check amount equal to or less than $50 = $25
- Check amount between $50.01 and $300 = $30
- Check amount between $300.01 and $800 = $35
- Check amount $800.01 or greater = $40
