In 2020, Volusia County voters elected a Tax Collector for the first time in 50 years. As part of the transition that occurred Jan. 5, 2021, the Volusia County Tax Collector now is responsible for property tax and vehicle registration.
The County of Volusia Treasury and Billing Division continues to be responsible for the collection of tourist development tax (TDT) and the business tax receipts (BTR).
